Top 4 Cheap Shopping Destinations

Detour from Shopping | Top 4 Budget-Friendly Fashion Outlets in the World

“Shopping is better than therapy.” Honestly, I feel there is something about these words that people just seem happy hearing it, especially women. Since a very young age, I saw the women in my family go shopping whenever they would find the time. Now with times changing rapidly, men are equally interested in this happy activity. I often observed the wave of euphoria it had brought. It made everybody happy when my mum would walk-in with tonnes of bags from the best designer outlets in her hands. I remember, our trips abroad used to be only about two things- eating a lot of different kinds of food and shopping insanely!

Luxury shopping has always been tagged as extremely expensive. But not anymore! There are many cheap shopping destinations across the globe that are stocked-up with fashion brands that are being sold at bargain-basement prices. These places, known as ‘villages’, have successfully snatched shoppers’ interest. Mine too!

So next time when you plan to shop at keenly rates, you can come back to this page and follow it strictly. You’ll end up with a huge smile, maybe an un-empty wallet, and a heart full of contentment.

Cheap Shopping Destinations in the World

BICESTER VILLAGE is a luxury outlet, just a short train ride away from London. It’s as famous as the Buckingham Palace or the Tower of London. It lures over 6 million visitors every year. It has an installation of almost every luxury brand you can think of. It’s not just a place for tourists, even high-end fashion editors, journalists, fashion columnists, all are regular visitors here.

As soon as you hop-off the train, you’ll walk through the gates and dive into the world of amazing shoes and swim through the rack of clothes. It’s a beautiful, neatly built English village with every brand having its small cottage-like store. Once you start shopping, you might feel a mild confusion because the discounts just do that to you. When you see that the Valentino’s dress price has been reduced from £2,245 to £900, girl you are gonna get a hit, a good hit! I call this feeling, happy miracles.

So shop till you drop at this one of the world’s cheap shopping destinations and then sit at the beautiful Ladurée Cart and have a hot steaming cup of coffee along with the best macaroons in the world. Can life ever get any better? Umm, nope!

WOODBURY COMMON OUTLET or should I say, “premium outlet”. Well, that does sound like an oxymoron but it is as true as it gets. The place, having 220 stores, is one of the biggest luxury outlets. Your visit here is going to be a task, a task that will yield immense satisfaction to you for sure! You would see long queues outside stores like Gucci, Prada, and Givenchy. But who wouldn’t want to wait for a little to fetch a good bargain?

This place has everything, right from all the high-end luxury brands to brands that are exclusively, only available at Woodbury. It has a Disney outlet too. So a great place for kids as well. In case you feel a little lost, I would recommend hiring a personal guide or maybe a personal shopper to guide you through it all.

My favourite stops here are the makeup stores and the discounts they offer, wallah! Woodbury doesn’t just have ultra-luxury brands but also has some of the best high street designer outlets like Adidas, American Eagle, Aéropostale, etcetera. It’s one of the best things an outlet can have – a great combination of luxury and high street fashion. So just drive or hop on a bus from Manhattan and you will reach this Land of Nirvana.

LA VALLEE VILLAGE is a place I never miss an opportunity to go to. Here I can grab all my favourite brands at absolutely unimaginable prices. It’s more of a compact village and they offer the best hospitality, like hands-free shopping, tax-free lounge, and amazing places to dine out. This place is admirably picturesque. It makes me want to keep shopping and keep clicking at the same time!

Shopping takes energy! Strolling around the village we had no problem satisfying our cravings. The village has a line-up of many different kiosks, where we tried loads of delicious, heart-filling treats. It was a tough choice between Amorino, La Maison du Chocolat, Ladurée and Pierre Hermé. Lunchtime at La Vallée offers the option between a lovely café or restaurant. So your next trip to Paris should be full of shopping bags and at least 2 kgs of extra weight with all the yummy food you will definitely gobble! Now, stop thinking and right away plan a journey with your better half in this romantic city and go for a tour of this beautiful village.

It’s homes to its boutiques and stores, all stocked with designer items will definitely leave you salivating!
